Who is God?
What Does God Want From Me?
What Does It Mean To Know God?

There are many schools of thought, but we believe that God is the Supreme Being and Creator of this universe. For an indeterminate amount of time, there had only been God and the angels. He chose to create a new being that had never existed before and place it just below Himself in the hierarchy. Man was created in God's image, after His likeness.

God made a beautiful garden for him to live in and put him there. We call this person Adam; he looked just like God, was crowned with God's glory, had all the creative power and authority on this planet. Adam was connected to God. Everything in God flowed into Adam; everything in Adam flowed into God. It was not good for man to be alone, so a woman was made for him as a helpmate. We called her Eve.

There was a war in Heaven when Lucifer (also known as Satan), one of the Archangels, rebelled and tried to take over with 1/3 of the angels. God cast them down.

While in the garden, God told them there was only one tree that they must not eat of; the tree of the knowledge of Good and Evil. If they did, they would die. Satan came into the garden in the form of a serpent and tempted Eve. Adam was standing right there with her, but did nothing to stop the events. The serpent wanted to convince her that God was holding out on them. So they both ate from the tree they were told not to and committed high treason against God.

At that point, Adam disconnected himself from God and connected himself to a lower being, Satan. Then all that was in Satan was now in Adam and all the authority over this planet now belonged to Satan. The glory that covered their bodies left them, and they were naked. Every person that has been born since shares a common flaw, a bent to do evil. Without help, no one can get back to God on their own. No one can be good enough in their own efforts to match the standard God expects.

God already had a plan to deal with the sin issue. He sent His own son to be born in the form of a man, live a righteous life then die on a Roman cross. The entire penalty for sin was laid on Him. He went into Hell and was raised back to life. Jesus willingly offered his own blood to buy back you and me.

It has always been God's intention to have a family, not a bunch of robots blindly following Him. If you want, you can have a relationship with God. He can treat you as if sin never happened. My Decision To Receive Christ As My Saviour:

Confessing to God that you are a sinner and believing that the Lord Jesus Christ died for your sins on the cross and was raised for your justification. Now I do receive and confess Him as my own personal Lord and Saviour.

Pray for me.
