History

Ever since I received my first computer, a Commodore VIC 20, I fell in love with games. It was a life-long dream of mine to make a game. Some of that dream came to fruition when I made adventure games on my Commodore 64 with Adventure Construction Set from Electronic Arts. Many a study hall was spent making maps on graph paper for my adventures. I took BASIC and had such an aptitude for it that my teacher wanted me to take PASCAL. There was nothing about how to make a game however, so I lost interest. Many an afternoon and weekend was spent typing in programs from magazines. So much so that my friend, from down the street, paid me to type in a game or program for him.

When I entered the PC world, the dream was still there. I took Pascal and C, but again, no mention of games or how to make one effectively. It wasn't until the dawn of the commercial Internet and YouTube that tutorial videos began to surface. I was exposed to Unity3d and then I knew I had something. There was no need to write everything yourself, it was a whole system designed to create games. Quickly I discovered that I'd have to learn one of the languages they used. So I decided on C#.

After frustratingly watching videos and typing in the code, which didn't work likely because of a mistake I made, I had to start learning the language from the beginning. I found my first set of tutorials teaching the basics. Most of the very beginner stuff I already knew, but I went through them. They say necessity is the mother of invention, which is very true. I started my first app with Unity to make my life easier. I ran into a major problem so I had to shelve it. Despite my best efforts, I couldn't get any help for it.

Later, I had an idea to make an app that anyone and everyone needs and can use. I researched some of what was already out there, and knew that I could do better. During my time I found another tutorial guy that was willing to help me and it's because of his assistance, my first app is complete and ready for sale.
